Since, damak lies in the Terai region and is developed city so there are many governmental and private educational institutions which are providing the education to the people. Above 90% of its poulation are educated and capable of reading and writing. There are many lower secondary,secondary and primary government schools which are providing education. Some of the schools are Himalayan Higher Secodary School   which lies in Damak-2,Himavi, Saraswati Higher Secondary School in Damak-14,Prithvi Lower Secondary Scool, and many others. There are more than 20 private boarding Schools in Damak providing the quality education to the students. Introduction

Damak which lies in the Jhapa District of Nepal is one of the biggest municipality of eastern Nepal. It's total area is 75.13 square kilometer ie 29 sq. miles which lies between the two rivers Mawa in the west and Ratwa in the east.There are 19 wards including the largest Tea Estate in the Jhapa. It was changed to the municipality from the   VDC(Village Development Committee) in the year 1982 A.D. It is an average of 100 meter above the sea level covering the area of 7513 hectares.
